The Zayed Charity Run in the USA (Known as UAE Healthy Kidney Run)
Founded over 20 years ago, the Zayed Charity Run is an iconic, worldwide humanitarian running race held in honour of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE and the country’s first President.
The much-loved fun run expanded overseas in 2005, when the inaugural New York edition took place in Central Park. Since then, it has continued to be one of the most popular races in New York.
Held in partnership with the National Kidney Foundation and the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC, all proceeds from the race are donated directly to the National Kidney Foundation for Kidney Research.
Now, the “kindest race in the world” is excited to return to the USA. This time in Miami for the first time on April 20th, 2024 for a 5K run.
Inviting participants and their supporters to unite under a noble cause, the successful charity race reflects the strong friendship between the UAE and the USA, as well as the UAE’s dedication to supporting humanitarian causes around the world.
